Interview with a 9 Year Old

Last year I interviewed my younger siblings Jud and Olivia. I wanted to ask simple questions that they would be able to answer. I thought it would be fun to see how their answers changed throughout the years.

Best Friend: Paige

Loves: Playing tennis

Dislikes: Chores, having to wear clothes she doesn't like

Favorite Place to Play: The Swift Cantrell Part

Favorite Subject: Science

Favorite Thing About Being 9/ being in the 4th grade: learning more (like fractions)

Favorite Sister (this was just joke): But she said "That's a hard question.... Alex." 

Judson Conner Drake

Born: May 26, 2003

Favorite Animal: Cats and Lion and Rhino

Favorite Place: Africa

Favorite Color: Green (because it's on Wild Kratts) 

Favorite Food: Chinese Food... yeah I was surprised too
Favorite T.V. Show: Wild Kratts

Best Friend: Ian

Loves: Doing projects and playing with my friends

Dislike: Being bored

Happy Birthday Little Chicken

It is my little sister Olivia's 9th birthday today! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Ever since she came into my family's lives she has been nothing but a blessing. I still remember seeing her picture for the first time- it was on my 16th birthday- and I could not believe this little chunk was going to be my little sister! She was so cute (everyone knows Asians are the cutest babies).

Everyday I miss my little chicken and can not wait to move back to Georgia just to hang out with Olivia.

Interviewing 8 Year Olds

I was blog stalking today and I came across a recent post called Interview with a 3 Year Old. She had posted a picture of her cute three year old and her answers to some basic questions. I thought this was such a great idea. It is a great way to document the growth of those little ones that grow up so fast!

You are now probably wondering: Alex you don't have kids so what are you going to post about?

Here is the answer: Olivia and Jud

If you know me at all you know these two wonderful 8 year olds are the center of my life. While they are not my children, they hold a special place in my heart. Both Olivia and Jud are adopted from China. Olivia was 16 months when we got her and Jud was 3 when we got him. Every day since their arrivals into my life has been an adventure. So I thought while they are a little old to be starting this- I thought it would still be great to get their answers!

I called them today and asked a few questions and their answers did not disappoint. It is so funny what kids will say. Enjoy!
