Norman Adventures 2014: Part 3

Happy Monday Y'all! 

Hope you had a wonderful weekend. 

Norman has been up to his usual antics- we've only got a few more days with him and we will be sad to see him go. 

Here is what he's been up to this week: 

December 14

Looks like Norman and the Doctor are a lot closer than I thought. #bowtiesarecool 

Norman was hanging out with the Tardis. 

December 15 

We found Norman watching our new favorite show Arrow. We're happy Norman is such a fan. 

December 16

King Norman on his throne of hot cocoa. 

December 17

Not a big surprise Norman loves to play computer games like Matt. It looks like he got some friends together to play one night. 

December 18

December 19

Looks like Norman wanted to pick up a hobby- he looks like quite the pro with the crochet hook. 

December 20 

Norman was nice enough to put together Christmas stockings for our branch missionaries. These stockings included goodies like oreos, hot coco packets, marshmallows, notebooks, pens, hot packs, highlighters, etc. We did this last year and loved continuing this tradition. 

December 21 

Norman is really loving our new Korean nativity set we got. And we love it too. We've started to collect nativities from the different places we visit. We found a beautiful one from Japan, and now we have this one from Korea. I'm excited to add to this collection. 

And that is part 3 of Norman's adventures. We can't wait to see what he has in store for us for the next four days!

Norman Adventures 2014: Part 2

Here are Norman's adventures from the week. 

December 7 

Norman doing a bit of light reading. He loves his comic books just like Matt. 

December 8 

We found Norman hanging out in our Christmas tree admiring a couple of new ornaments we picked up this year, including the cute H from Lisa Leonard and the little elephant from Cambodia. 

December 9

Norman studying up on his 한글. What a smart little cookie. 

December 10 

Oh no- Looks like Norman caught a little bit of a cold and was out for the day. 

December 11 

Norman made us a sweet treat. 

December 12 

Norman enjoying a Skype date with my cousin Jessie. PS- do you love his new outfit? Grandma and Grandpa Ho sent him this cute aviator jacket and goggles. 

December 13 

Looks like he loves his outfit as well- Norman found our selfie stick and took some pics. He is fitting into Korean quite well!

Norman Adventures 2014: Part 1

Happy Sunday Y'all! 

I hope your weekend is going well. I wanted to give y'all an update on Norman's adventures for the week. 

Here's is what our crazy Scout Elf has been up to. 

December 1 

Norman greeted us with a cute message and a sweet gift. We are enjoying our 25 Days of Christ ornament kit. 

December 2

Norman always loves meeting up with his friends each year. This year we found him playing a game of Skip Bo and having a drink (non-alcoholic of course). 

December 3 

Norman had a few things he wanted us to pick up at the store- all junk food it looks like.  

December 4 

It looks like Norman is an artist like Matt. 

December 5 

Norman sure loves his friends. We caught him taking a few pictures on my old phone. 

December 6

Norman must have had a craving for some Korean snack food and fanta. He must have a big appetite for all that tteokbooki (떡볶이). 

And that's Norman's adventures so far. We can't wait to see what he is up to next. 

Norman's Adventures 2014: Welcome

Happy Tuesday Y'all! 

Well- today is December 2nd and that means yesterday we were greeted by our scout elf Norman Baggins Ho. This is Norman's 3rd year with us, and we are so excited to have him back in our lives. 

We are excited to see what he gets up to this year. 

Yesterday he left a sweet note and present for us to remember the reason for the season. We are looking forward to starting our 25 Days of Christ Advent Calendar this year.

Norman Says Bye Bye: 2013

Well it happened, Christmas is over and so is our time with Norman Baggins Ho. On Christmas night, Norman went back to the North Pole to start planning for next year's Christmas. 

We had such a blast seeing Norman this year, and can't wait till next year. 

Here is what Norman was up to his last few days here: 

Monday, December 23

We call this one 'Cliff Hanger'. I guess Norman and monkey just got a little carried away one night. We found them hanging from our laundry drying rack and just using a little piece of floss. 

Tuesday, December 24

Norman is always really good at reminding us to read the story of Jesus' birth. We found Norman reading Luke Chapter 2 on my Kindle. 

Wednesday, December 25 

Norman always likes to stay with us for Christmas day and then head back to the North Pole at night. Christmas morning he surprised us with American bacon and eggs for our breakfast. 

The rest of the day Norman was just hanging in the tree watching our Christmas activities. 

We really had a blast with Norman this year, and we hope you had some laughs looking at all of his adventures.

Leave it up to Norman to give us a countdown and to give us a little reminder of the season.

Uh Oh, looks like Norman got himself in a bit of a pickle.

Norman always likes to lend a hand when we need some help. Last week we didn't have the time to grab the stuff for the missionaries care packages, but it looks like Norman has it all under control.

Sunday, December 8 

We woke to find Norman looking through our travel guide books. It looks like he has himself a pretty good list of things to do before he leaves Korea. I guess Norman loves making lists as much as I do. :) 

Monday, December 9

I guess our Costco size container of toilet paper has been too hard for Norman to resist. We caught him again having fun playing with it. This time he built himself a nice little fort in front of the Christmas tree. 

Tuesday, December 10 

It looks like Matt found some of Korea's best treats: energy drinks and Peppero cookies. Him and his bud Rainbow seem to be having a good time. 

Wednesday, December 11 

Looks like Norman didn't want to be at home alone. We found him hanging out in the pocket of Matt's coat. 

Thursday, December 12 

Looks like Norman and Santa have found another way to communicate. 

Friday, December 14 

It looks like Norman was channeling his inner Luke Skywalker and decided to reenact a scene from Star Wars. It seems someone is a fan like his dad. I wonder when Norman found the time to watch The Empire Strikes Back? 

Saturday, December 14 

Oh no, Norman got stuck in a mason jar. It seems that his sweet tooth was used to put him in a trap!

Just playing a game of marshmallow tic-tac-toe with Weenie.
