Friday's Letters #15

Dear First Week of December, You've been pretty amazing. The weather was a bit warm this week. My new winter coat arrived and I finally feel a bit more in control of the cold weather. Many thanks to my Dad for sending an amazing coat. I know it's just going to get colder, but I have been enjoying the 'warm' weather here. Dear Christmas Shopping, Well, it's December 6th and I have pretty much everyone's presents shipping. Since we are so far away we just ordered a bunch of stuff from Amazon. What I like about Amazon is that most items can be gift wrapped and you can add a note. I love that my shopping is almost done.

Dear Family Traditions, I absolutely love the traditions Matt and I have started since being married. We even started doing an Advent calendar this year. We love it. Each night there is a new activity to help us get into the holiday spirit. And of course, our Scout Elf Norman has returned and we have been having the best time with him. Each night he is doing something exciting and it seems he loves exploring our little apartment. I know it's just the two of, but we love Norman and are glad he is in our home. {I will be showing an update about Norman's antics later this week, so be on the look out.}

Dear Thanksgiving Dinner, This weekend was just perfect. Again, I'll be writing a separate post this week, but I wanted to say how good our dinner was. We had Matt's cousin, Alohi, over and had a great time. There was way too much food, but still, it was a awesome day. It almost made up for not being back home in Georgia.

Dear Gibbs, Please come home. Gibbs is my cat who has been living with my parents for the last few years. Last Saturday, Gibbs got out of the house and has been missing since. We are all very worried about her and just want her to be home. I'm pretty sure Matt is getting a bit tired of me crying at night when I hear she is still not home. So Gibbs, please please come home. :(

****Update: Gibbs has been found!****

Now, if you're a little depressed after reading that last little letter, like I am, then you should probably watch this video of an amazing cover of Little Drummer Boy.

  1. Hope Gibbs turns up. I was distraught when my cat went missing. She turned up six weeks later, in the middle of the night! I think she got stuck in a garage or shed.
