Stonehenge: Travel Tuesday

Since I am having such a blast reliving my England study abroad days, I am going to continue sharing places I went to in England.

For this Travel Tuesday, I will take you guys to Stonehenge!

When I was preparing to go, everyone kept telling me not to get my hopes up because Stonehenge wasn't all that. So I was trying to hold in my excitement and not let myself get let down if it really wasn't that cool of a place. But let me tell you Stonehenge is amazing. I really don't know why people would say it's not. I loved Stonehenge.

Here are some pictures from my adventure to Stonehenge:

So what do you think? Impressive or not so much?

PS- During this post, was anyone else thinking of the moment when the Griswolds went to Stonhenge?

  1. We saw Stonehenge through a fence from the side of the road because my parents were too cheap to buy our way in! Haha. I'd love to go back one day.

  3. I wanted to go there when I was in the UK, but my teammates weren't that interested I guess...so we didn't go! I'd love to see it someday, though! I guess some people get bored with a bunch of rocks, but I think if they took the time to think about it they would be more amazed! Looks beautiful!

    1. Saxon, doesn't it kinda suck when you want to go do something, but the majority of your group doesn't? I really wanted to go to Platform 9 3/4, but my good friend on my trip didn't so we never went. I still regret not taking that cheesy picture. :) Oh well, I guess that's what return trips are all about! As for Stonehenge- it was amazing. Thanks for your comment.

  4. I've only seen it from the bypass running past it! I love European Vacation! We have many travel moments in Europe that remind us of that film. : )

  5. I loved it as well! I've got a stonehenge post in the works too. We got an audio guide and i think that makes a difference, because you learn about the history.

    1. Dannielle, I didn't even know there was an audio guide! Although, by that point of my study abroad I was a little audio guided out. When I go back- I'll have to remember it! And I'll be on the look out for your Stonehenge post.

  6. Alex, I think it is totally impressive! When we lived in southern Virginia we visited a place called Foamhenge, which is a lifesize replica of Stonehenge made out of styrofoam. I was totally impressed by that so I imagine I would be doubly so if faced with the real thing :)
