Friday Letters #57

Happy Friday Y'all!

I hope you had a wonderful week and have some wonderful weekend plans in the works. Today, we are on our way up to Sokcho and Soraksan to hang out and play for our 3 day weekend. It's been a while since we explored Korea, so we are excited to see a little more of the wonderful country we live in.

Here is our week in letters.

Dear Weekend with the Schmitts, It was wonderful. We had a great time watching some flag football, eating Taco Bell, playing with Jax (the dog), going to Octoberfest, and then having dinner with y'all again on Sunday. Thanks for being such great friends. We love hanging out with y'all.
Dear Osan Air Force Base Octoberfest, Thanks for having free food for us. Yum Yum! I especially loved the Rootbeer Floats. We also loved taking lots of pictures.

Dear American Products, Thanks for being in our lives again. It's nice to have some comfort Mac & Cheese, Dr. Pepper, and Reese's. Thanks Dad for sending the package! And thanks Schmitt Family for keeping us stocked with DP. It's so nice to have people in our lives that help us out and send us yummy goodies from time to time.

{Can you tell we are a bit Reese's and pudding obsessed?}

Dear Chick-fil-A, I miss you. Like miss you miss you. Matt posted this on my facebook this week and said "This could be us... but we live 7,000 miles away." I know he was trying to be funny, but it just made me really miss home and really miss Chick-fil-a. Man- what I wouldn't give for a large lemonade- waffle fries- and a chicken sandwich..... and a milkshake....

Dear Courtney and The Gifford Family, Congrats on your new babies! We are so excited to meet them when we get back!

Dear 3 Day Weekend, Thank you for being here. We are excited to have a long weekend to explore Korea. Feel free to come back anytime you want.

Have a wonderful weekend y'all!

Love, Alex

  1. I'm moving to Indonesia in a couple of weeks! I feel like you are my girl to talk to! Where are you living abroad? We will be in Jakarta but are planning on traveling all over South East Asia. I would love to pick you brain about things to bring, what you wished you had from the America, other helpful tips :)

  2. I remember living in Eastern Canada and feeling the same way about Taco Bell. When I finally moved to an area that had a Taco Bell Express located inside a movie theater, I felt like I'd died and gone to heaven.

    1. Hahaha- we've had Taco Bell twice since being here and I know the feeling. I can't wait to eat Chick-fil-a when I get home.
