Our Story

I started this blog back in 2009 as a class assignment for my study abroad to London. Since then it has become so much more. This blog allows me a place to share the adventures Matt and I have together, it allows me to stay in touch with my family, and it allows me to journal my life in a way that I will always treasure. But enough about the blog- here is us.

Our story is simple- we met- we became friends- we fell in love- and we got married.

Matt and I met way back in 2005 when I moved into his church ward. At the time, Matt was a skinny, nerdy, Asian boy and I was a mean, lacrosse playing, girl with no time for Matt Ho.

After Matt's high school graduation, we kept in touch and wrote each other the whole time he was serving a mission for our church. (The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints)

When he got back we decided we were still just friends. When I went to London, England for a study abroad program  in 2009 we again kept in touch via Skype. The whole time we were Skyping I was trying to convinced myself that I didn't like Matt more than a friend.

When I got back from my trip it was obvious there was something there. We started dating January 2010, we were engaged April 2010, and married for time and all eternity November 2010. Seriously, the best decision I have ever made.

Shortly after we were married, we moved to Hawaii to finish school. Two and a half years later we both had our undergrad degree and were looking for a new adventure. So we decided to up and move to Suwon, South Korea to teach English for a year. We ended up staying in Korea closer to two years, and have just moved back to the states. I am currently working on my MA in History at Georgia State University, and Matt is bringing in the bacon.

I loved your comment on my blog about the fudge! Haha! That is EXACTLY how I am, too. A little nibble here, a little nibble there, and suddenly I've eaten a pound of fudge in an hour! :o)
